The Chainsaw Painting

My daughter has had this painting on her wall now for some time. So, when she moved into her new house, this painting took pride of place. She calls it the chainsaw painting, although when I painted it a few years ago, I am sure it had a different title

Now You See It....

I have hated this painting. In its short history, it has been overpainted several times; I even waterblasted it one day because I hated what I had done so much that I wanted all the paint off it, and now! So it's been sitting in a spare room for the past six months. Waiting. And this week, the waiting is over. It's going to be painted over. Again. But this time, it's going to be bright bold colours. And I will love it. I hope.

Thursday

Moving House

My daughter moved into her new house the other week and asked if she could take a few of my paintings for her wall. I hadn't realised that she liked my artwork so much. Naturally, I said yes.

So when you visit her, there are paintings on almost every wall, and I did those!

Edible Artwork

It's not often that you eat your artwork, is it? Crocodiles are my favourite. Fortunately my wife is not too fond of them, so I get to eat almost all I want. Digital photograph. Sorry the artwork is now long gone!

Monday

Red and Black With A Dash

Today I decided to paint something bold.
I have always been fascinated with bold colours, especially cadmium orange, and reds and blacks.
Hopefully, from the photo you can see the texture - most of my paintings have some sort of tactile feel to them. It's a far cry from my other love - photography - which is definitely two dimensionable.
